Clean the framing. Joists, the tops of the ceilings and the fixtures are vacuumed with filtered equipment and wiped, because fine material sits in every gap.

Can it stay?
Yes, if nobody needs to go up there. Undisturbed vermiculite in a sealed attic is not putting fibres into the house. Blowing new insulation over it is not a fix: it buries the problem for the next person and it still has to be disclosed.
